Jescah Otieno is a qualitative researcher, and a peace practitioner, Jescah is a detail-oriented, curious and open-minded individual who believes that every day is a new learning experience. With a Master of Science degree in Communications, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics from Moi University, Jescah has an established history of providing writing and communication services in a wide variety of settings. She is committed to creating and maintaining positive relationships right from home.
She is passionate about Research and Communications – because words are the most powerful force available to humanity. For her, words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, and to inspire. Jescah believes that women can use this force constructively with words of encouragement, in their spaces, which she explores through Amani Women Network, an organization she co-founded that seeks to establish a platform for women to network, share experiences and learn from each other.
Currently, Jescah is a Research Officer at the National Cohesion and Integration Commission where she has conceptualized and executed various studies. She believes that research is the solution not just to conflict in Kenya, but to the many problems the world faces.
Jescah is also an aspiring Rotary Peace Fellow in one of the Rotary Peace Centers.
